It's the most miserable time of the year...

I don't mean that in a bad way, really!

I am miserable at this time of the year because of all the hustle and bustle of preparing for holidays and having to balance that with work and just daily life. I just get miserable after Thanksgiving and I don't really cheer back up until some time after New Year's. I'm not grumpy, just tired and frustrated.

Commuting is also a pain during this time of year, with the increased number of people on the roads. My daily commute is no picnic as it stands now, but add to it the people traveling to and fro for holiday business and you have a damn mess. I think that's probably the one thing I am not liking about my work right now... commuting in the Baltimore area sucks, especially if you are coming from well outside of the metro area, if you didn't know that already. Besides the commute, things are great.

Holiday Open House went off like a smashing success, thanks to all those that came and an extra thanks for those who came with gifts, we certainly weren't planning on people bringing anything but it was a very nice surprise. Thanks most of all to my MIL, who is like Martha Stewart but with a much more gregarious personality. The whole house looked like it was out of a magazine and she was largely responsible for that. Lord knows, if it was just left to Leslee and myself it probably wouldn't have gone so well, since neither one of us has the gifts the MIL has.

Anyhow, I can't post more right now, but I'll be sure to when I can.

Glad we could attend! Your home looks absolutely phenomenal! As for the bringing you down feelings, I would again have to agree.
Everyone is so busy trying to buy gifts, go to parties, work, and then when there isn't much time left...live. Good luck with it man, I'm with ya.

Greg and I, along with Amelia, had a great time! The house is fabulous!

It was great seeing you and Leslee after so many years. You two look amazing!

Hope we can get together again, and soon.
